Edmodo & Digital Citizenship
- Edmodo is a safe social educational site where children can learn how to be responsible digital citizen.
- Global membership of Edmodo has exploded to over 16 million teachers and students.
- This is the first truly digital generation, that don't know of a time before broadband.
- it is our responsibility as teachers to model best practices with the technology that they use in order to teach our students about how to use social media and allow them to practice in a safe, supervised environment.
- I have been given the great honour of being selected to be an Edmodo Ambassador. Please feel free to ask me about all things Edmodo!

Digital Citizenship
- As educators we have a duty of care to teach our students how to leave a positive digital footprint online. When using social media, we need to teach our students how to behave responsibly and safely. Please click on the link on the drop down menu to see a great poster, which sums up what we all need to think about whenever we post online.
Creative Commons
- Part of being a good digital citizenship is learning about copyright and using our own work, or images that are searchable under creative commons sites. Click on the drop down menu to find a link to search for creative commons material for students and staff to use online.
